Short: Saweetie n' Sour Sauce

Honestly, I wasn’t going to talk about this one, but I feel like I need to express my disappointment with the McDonald’s company.

A few months ago, McDonald’s decided to expand on their musician inspired menu by adding the BTS meal, and I guess they saw how popular it was (?). Although, I can’t really find huge support for them besides BTS crazed fans. This month, they marketed a new meal with the “Saweetie” meal.

Did I know who Saweetie was before the meal came out? No. If I’m being completely honest, I still don’t really know who she is. I mean, BTS I more or less understood because they have international appeal, but I literally cannot name a single thing Saweetie has done besides this collaboration with McDonald’s.

Complaints

But I think besides not knowing who the artist was, the most disappointing part of this meal is the fact that the only thing they changed was the label on the Sweet n’ Sour sauce. It now has this really putrid neon green that looks toxic against the other sauces that are available.

Such a bad label. Dislike. Gross. Ew.

I honestly cannot tell why they decided to go in this direction. I just wanted my regular Sweet n’ Sour sauce for my nuggets, but instead I got this disgusting color… I guess what this is telling me is that I hate it when things change.

My point is that McDonald’s has still missed the mark on this one. It’s clear that they didn’t put any thought or effort into making this meal more related to its source material.

I mean, unless there is a specific lyric that Ms. Saweetie wrote related to Sweet n’ Sour sauce. Then I guess I would have to stand corrected.

Final Rating

Saweetie n' Sour Sauce: 3/10.

Just give me the regular package. I am a simple person.
